In 1998, I came to Boulder Vision Center not long after finishing optometry school. Since then, I have dedicated my career to providing the Boulder community with the finest eye care possible. It’s sincerely been a privilege to have earned your trust in the many years I’ve cared for you and your family.
It is now time for me to do something new and try new adventures, so I am leaving practicing optometry in Boulder and at Boulder Vision Center as of August 26, 2016.
While my emotions are mixed, I couldn’t be happier with the doctors with whom I will be leaving the care of my patients. After 14 years away from Boulder, Dr. Terri Oneby and Dr. Brooks Alldredge are returning with a combined experience of over 50 years in optometry. Please take time to read their biographies. They are very impressive. In addition to their many accomplishments in clinical care, Dr. Alldredge was my first clinical professor in optometry school in Oregon.
But perhaps most important, they are warm, caring and engaging doctors who know and understand the eye and health care needs of our unique and active community. In the coming months, they will be looking out for opportunities to care for more kinds of eye problems and to add new technologies in addition to what Boulder Vision Center has traditionally provided. In addition, they will be looking for ways to help the community outside of the office.
You will be in great hands.
In closing, I want to thank all of you for trusting me to take care of you and your loved ones for so many years. It’s been my deepest privilege.
Kristin Gurholt, OD
